Sponsorship Opportunities
The Lenoir Rotary Club has made Cycle to Serve its principal fundraiser because over our first five years, we have learned that Rotarians and cyclist have a lot in common and are truly helpful to others. Riders who are also Rotarians know about the Rotary Four Way Test and number four is “of the things we think, say or do…is it beneficial to all concerned.”
Past Cycle To Serve sponsors also know that their sponsorship is beneficial to themselves and the Lenoir Rotary Club. Here’s how:

As a cyclist you can spend a day doing something you love and help support an organization whose motto is “Service above Self” and whose goal is to improve friendship and understanding across the community and around the world. And the following incentives are available to all sponsors—large and small….
Gold Spoke Sponsorship Level $500+
Participating Gold Spoke Sponsors receive the following recognition/marketing opportunities:
Radio Advertising Exposure – Up to Thirty (30) professionally produced radio ads on Caldwell County’s News/Talk 1340 WJRI radio station—featuring some of the most listened to talk personalities and Lenoir’s own Rocky Brooks. Sponsors will receive up to five spots per day during the week prior to the Cycle to Serve Event. Note: This is not a mere mention as a sponsor. This is 30 seconds of your message professionally produced and aired to a loyal radio audience up to 30 different times.
Publicity for your Sponsorship – As a Gold Spoke participant, your company will received the following prominent recognition:
- Gold level exposure in a dedicated newspaper ad to appear in the Lenoir News Topic.
- Frequent mention on WJRI as a Gold Spoke Sponsor.
- Gold level exposure on a large banner displayed at several highly attended events prior to and during the event.
- Logo placement and listing on the event website with direct link to your own website.
Registration Premiums – Each Gold Spoke Sponsor may register one rider at no cost for every $250 of sponsorship paid.
Silver Spoke Sponsorship Level $250 to $499
Participating Silver Spoke Sponsors receive the following recognition/marketing opportunities:
Publicity for your Sponsorship – As a Silver Spoke participant, your company will receive the following prominent recognition:
- Silver level exposure in a dedicated newspaper ad to appear in the Lenoir News Topic.
- Frequent mention on WJRI as a Silver Spoke Sponsor.
- Top level exposure on a large banner displayed at several highly attended and influentially attended events prior to and during the event.
- Logo placement and listing on the event website with direct link to your own website.
Registration Premiums – Each Silver Spoke Sponsor may register one rider at no cost for every $250 of sponsorship paid.
Key Sponsorship Level $100-$250
Each Key Sponsor will receive name recognition on banners, and in an appreciation ad in the Lenoir News Topic.
How Rotary Benefits:
The mission of Lenoir Rotary Club is to serve the community. Lenoir Rotary Club has served this community since 1930 and continues to be involved in many different service projects. All proceeds from this ride will be used for the Rotary Club’s charitable program. Some of these projects include:
- Providing a Christmas party and gifts for 70 disadvantaged children.
- Tutoring and helping provide dictionaries for every third grader in the Caldwell County Schools.
- Providing lunch for the Special Olympics.
- Sponsoring a Little League baseball team.
- Sending three students to the Rotary Youth Leadership camp.
- Funding over $7,000 in educational scholarships.
- Special Olympics of North Carolina.
Our goal for this year's ride is to raise $5,000.
